All our fine game guns have undergone an extensive programme of restoration. All barrels have been Re-London Nitro Proofed to 2 3/4" chambers. They naturally have a practical and sensible wall thickness, fine walnut stocks and forends, have a minimum LOP of 14 1/2" and have all undergone a refurbishment of their traditional oil finish and have been skillfully re-checkered. 12 Bore Hammer Gun by Christopher Bonehill, Belmont Firearms & Gun Barrel Works, Belmont Row and latterly Price Street, Birmingham A unique 34-inch barrelled hammer gun, with a broad file cut rib and dolls head. Barrels chocked ¾ & full. Very fine full scroll & game scene engraving with a bolstered action. Highly figured full pistol rib stock. LOP: 15-inches. Weight: 7lbs, 12 ounces.
£3,275Watts ran the London Sporting Park in Hendon, North London, that started life as the London School of Shooting, situated at Old Oak Common, Willesden. Watts was an expert in shooting instruction and gun-fitting, so much so that he was given his own chapter in Teasdale-Buckell's seminal book Experts on Guns and Shooting. The company moved to Hendon around 1897 and are believed to have been in operation until just before the start of the First World War. Boss & Co used his grounds for their customers until they established a ground for their own as did Edwinson Green. W.W. Watts sold guns from his grounds and his best guns were built by Edwinson Green and stocked by Stocked by Robertson (of Boss) and engraved by Sumner. A shop was located at 60 Bond Street. An exceptional single trigger full pistol grip side-lock finished to a very high standard. 28-inch sleeve steel barrels. Chocked ¾ & ¼. Highly figured walnut stock. LOP: 15 inches. Average wall thickness 28 thou. Straight hand well figured walnut stock. LOP 14 ¾ inches . An ideal lightweight 5lb 7oz 12 bore for walked up game / small bird shooting in outstanding original condition.

Side lock action, colour hardened throughout. 15inch highly figured pistol gripped walnut stock with engraved butt cap, toe and heel clips. Long semi beavertail fore-end. Weighs 7bs 8oz. Ponting was a provincial gun maker in Malmesbury, Wiltshire. The Beaufort family were the local family (Badminton House).
